We can barely contain our excitement that Fathom found his home here at Atwood Acres. We originally had a doe reservation out of this breeding but a doe was not available so we just thought we’d try next year. Kellye had offered a buck instead but we just “didn’t need another buck” at the time. Somehow we rediscovered this little guy and decided to purchase him. Boy, we’re glad we did. First, what’s there to say about his sire that most don’t already know. His dam was one of those ugly ducklings kids that turned swan as an adult. Easily winning her MCH once mature and carrying an outstanding udder. Shortly after deciding to take Fathom, “Nonnie”, Fathoms dam, participated in a one day milk test and produced a whopping 6lbs of milk with 5% BF at a little less than 1 month fresh. Not only does he have the genetics to produce some top quality kids but he himself is an amazing animal.
